Cary Library Videocassette Borrowing Policy
- Borrowers must have a valid library card for which no materials
or fines are outstanding. The borrower must have their card each
each time they borrow a videocassette.
- FREE POLICY:
Only three videocassettes per family per day may be borrowed.
The loan period for a videocassette is one day at no charge.
- DONATION POLICY:
For a donation of $1.00 per video, the loan period will be extended
to three days and up to three videos may be borrowed per family,
per day.
- Videos must be returned before the library closes on the day the
video is due. If returned late, there is an overdue charge
of $1.00 per day for EACH video. This includes days that
the library is closed.
- Videocassettes must not be left in the outside bookdrop. If a
video is left in the outside bookdrop, it will be considered late,
and a fee will be charged.
- Videocassettes CANNOT be renewed.
- The patron is responsible for returning the cassettes in good
condition. In the case of loss, theft, or damage, the patron will
be charged the full replacement cost of the cassette.
- The library assumes no responsibility for damage caused to a
borrower's videocassette recorder by a library videocassette.
- Copyright laws limit these videocassettes to home viewing only
and prohibit their duplication.
- Keep videocassettes in a cool, dry place and avoid storage in
direct sunlight or near sources of heat.
- Please rewind videocassettes before returning.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep our
videocassette collection in good condition for all to enjoy.
I have read the Videocassette Borrowing Policy and accept the
terms as stated above. I assume responsibility for any videos borrowed
by minors in my hosuehold, and grant the Cary Library permission to lend
videocassettes to said minors.
